Performance exhaust

Well, I had a day off today and, amongst other things, fitted a new exhaust. Excuse how filthy the bike is. It has had its coating of ACF50 put on for the Winter. Fitment was pretty straight forward. There is no third fixing near the kick start as there is on the original. It is in 3 pieces and the join between the downpipe and the first cone section would not go in fully. I had to remove a small weld seam on the inside of the female part with a dremel and take the thinest of slivers off the male part with my grinding wheel. No worse than I have experienced with other after market systems. It originates from Malaysia. Considering the number of welds to make the cone it is remarkably cheap.
One thing I forgot to mention is that no matter how I fiddled with it, the brake lever JUST, and I mean just, touched the underside of the downpipe. I cured this by slackening the adjustment at the rear wheel then stopping the brake level a mm before it touched the downpipe by removing one of the footrest bolts and putting a piece of metal plate under it as it is just the right height to stop the lever. The rear brake light switch needed a slight adjustment after this.

And,...err...you dont like panniers do you? BTW your wider fairing looks so bloody nice qick and dirt cheap No offence of course form follows function, so I wonder why you took the effort on lowering your break lever instead of simply attaching a cable tie

I will make a you-tube clip over the weekend so you can hear it.
It feels a little stronger in the mid range but I don`t think it is any faster top speed.

yepp YT-clip would be fine.
The break lever slightly meets the footpeg carrier when coming up. You can hear it doing it by hand during standstill. Find the spot and put on the cable tie right there on the peg carrier. Doing so will prevent the lever to come up all the way and you got the 1mm space you need. Of course adjust the break afterwards.

Additional there wont be no clonk anymore so this may count as rust prevention too
