Anyone know what the options are for wheels on the innova?

I don't know if the first wheel can fit tubeless tires. There is no information on the site. The ones from faddybike look like they can fit tubeless tires but I think are a little ugly. There must be other options? You see a lot of honda waves in Asia with cool wheels. Anyone know where you can get them?

I prefer tubeless because it is easier to fix a puncture with a plug. I just got a puncture today and had to pay €45 to get it picked up and brought to a shop because I didn't know how to take the wheel off and do it myself. I have been waiting for the Honda Innova manual for four months.

Anyone have a good tutorial on how to take the back wheel off a honda innova and put a new tube in?

I dont know where you are living. But when you are not a asian local it would be most probably illegal to mount the cute asian wheels on your bike. Even the wheels from faddybike.

Once we had here a string about wireless wheels. But first of all, for that you need special wheels and even special tires. Both of them are, imho, not available for the Innova.

But when you are afraid about a punctuation there are aersosol can on the market where you could use to fix a punctuation on the road. With such a quick and dirty fix you will be able to keep traveling and you may exchange the inlet once you have time to do it. This cans are called e.g. Reifenpilot.

When you are not completely nerdy you will easely be able to chance the wheels. When you are starting the work anything will be self-expanatory. Or, in case you are still concerned about it, watch your dealer next time he chance your wheels.

Innova-raser is right, asian wheels are probably illegal in Europe.
2nd wheels to be run with tubless type tires, are specially designed to hold the rubber in place and to be airtight. Even though you can´t see the cross section the ones by Faddybike don`t look like they`re designed for tubeless use.
MHO: Simply trust a proven system. (well shit happens though )
To save the money of pickup service you may carry s.th like: this
3rd I would never trust a tubeles tire on a spoked wheel.

Thanks guys, It's a shame there are no tubeless wheels available for the inno.

Supposedly in the States, they have developed a sealant that is specifically designed to seal spoked wheels for use with tubeless tires. Unfortunately I don't think the technique has made it's way to Europe as any bike shop I ask at has never heard of it.

One guy did tell me he was able to seal his spoked wheels all around the inside of the centre of the rim with Sikaflex polyurathene mastic,and then finished with a few wraps of self amalgamating tape over the sikaflex to make sure it wouldent get damaged when fitting new tyres. He says it worked.

Don't know of this would work on the inno wheels though.

I'll pick up one of the products you guys mentioned. I think the 'motul tire repair' looks better because you don't need an air pump. If I got the Reifen dicht I would need also some co2 cannisters.

Nope, you dont need additional Co2. Neither with Reifenpilot nor with with Tyre repair. IMHO thats the same product but just different labeld. There is enough Co2 inside the bottle to pump up a bike tire. Even you have any punctuation in a serie there are big bottles designed for cars. They my fill a whole care tyre.

But for the motorcycle the small one are ok. They are very handy and you dont will waste much space underneath the seat. The big one for cars has more or less the size of a hair spray bottle. Pretty big when you like to put it in the U-box. And even to much for a quick fix on a bike.

The roads here in west europe are pretty good and tidy. You dont have to be in fear to experience a punctuation. Just to give you a idea: I starting 1980 to driving bigger bikes and cars. I am everyday on the road. And, so fare as I could remember me. I had, ages ago, just one punctuation with the car. And a couple of months ago, one with the Innova.

But like I did say already, its very very rar thats something like that its happen! Just buy by the next possibility a Reifenpilot or whatever you could grap, and drop in in your U-box. And most probably you never will need it again.

picked up a can of similar stuff when I was collecting my bike today. here's a pic with a phone and a roll of film so you can tell the size. It's quite tall but just about fits in under the seat with my thick 8kg bolt-cutter proof chain and lock.



I would prefer something smaller. The motul might be best as it's only 300ml. Can't tell the size of the reifen dicht.

So there are no tubeless wheels but does anyone know of some good tires for the winter?

But doesnt matter. Its the same product but just a taller can. When I dont forget it again, I will take a pic from the small one for bikes.

About the tires. As far as I know, there is only one brand who fits the need of a around the year driver.

Personaly I using that one.

Dont ask me what the difference is. I only have experience with the K58. I faced 2 winters with this tire. I hit every workingday the street. Nevermind she is covered with snow or ice. I was everyday on the road and never got in any trouble with this tire. Even a very good choice for the rainy days in the summer.

You will get both of this tyres in any tyreshop. When not so there are any sources on the the internet where you could order it for a fortune. To mount it its easy and not a very big job.

BTW: 9,95 for the big belly can isnt bad at all!

The difference between K58 and K66 is as far as I know just the pattern. K58 is more "blocky" than the more "liney" K66. Btw in Germany the K66 is the only one legal by itself (legalised by the company). The K58 has to be legalised by yourself via TÜV or similar.

Found a website that sells those tires in my country. Can you tell me what my options are because they offer a number of different sizes. Which size does the innova take?

The Innova is originally fitted with this tyres sizes:

Front 70/100-17
Rear 80/90-17

You will get either the K58 and the K66 in the right size for the Innova.

BTW, its funny that the guys in Irland tyres calling "Pneus"

Thats the french word for tyres and widely used, next to france, in Switzerland! But thought Switzerland is the southern neighbour from Germany
