Problem after fitting Givi rack

I just fitted mine precisely to the instructions and the seat will now not latch. I can only assume something is fouling the underside of the seat as I can feel the catch `bouncing` on the latch but it won`t go down far enough to activate it. It is designed to be fitted on top of the grabrail fixing points and that is how I have done it.
Any ideas?

Try to file the head of the bolts half a mm and see if it helps. I have fitted the same rack and the seat does not lock as smoothly as before. I must now use both hands and apply a little sideway pressure/motion to make it lock.
Good luck.

Hallo Mark, hallo Kjell,
ich vermute, ihr habt bei der Wieder-Montage des Griffes Teile der Verkleidung eingeklemmt, so dass selbiger nicht richtig sitzt.
Grüße, Dieter

I think I know what you mean, but the rack definately sits on top of the hand/grabrail.
I have solved the problem. The plates that the bolts go through have a `cut out` at the back which is supposed to correspond with some bits of the seat base that protrude, however in my case they didn`t quite line up so the protruding bits sat on the plate rather than sliding down the side. I tried slackening the bolts to see if I could push the whole rack towards the front slightly but the holes only have clearance side to side, not front to back. There is no adjustment on the seat front to back so I used a junior hacksaw to remove about 5mm from the protruding bits of plastic and it now works!

Well done mate!
The "adjustment" of the seat is easily done by putting a washer or two on the two bolts holding the seat in the front fitting. But be careful to do so coz the rubber lips sealing the u-box should still work afterwards
