They make a huge difference to weather protection. Before I fitted these I could keep the tops of my legs dry if I kept my knees together, but the bottom half got completely soaked. Now I stay virtually dry when on the move. They also make a big difference to the effects of wind chill.

I just fitted mine precisely to the instructions and the seat will now not latch.
